Tex Avery inspired.

Drunkard

My scanner isn't great. If it was, you'd see he's holding a bottle.

Mouse

Sorry there haven't been posts for a long time. It was a long/fun summer, and theres a lot of drawings to share that will come up soon. Here's a confusing mouse.

Buenos Aires

School's done, I'll be headed to Buenos Aires for two weeks. Although there won't be any new posts for a while, hopefully this summer will provide ample free time to draw!

The Beast & Dragon, Adored

Inspired by the new Spoon song, "The Beast and Dragon, Adored." You can listen to it (and other great songs from their new album) via the Merge Records site. This was fun to draw, maybe a color version will show up.

Woonsocket

In honor of the graduating Ad-Lib seniors, here's to the patrol and the lovely memories of the Woonsocket Rocket.

Interactive Inspiration

The crazy site Boy Black is an interactively and aesthetically incredible experience. The art and animation seems endless, and has a strange blend of pixelated drawings and hip graphic design sensibility. Worth checking out.

Ambition

"Ambition" for Illustration Friday. This kid knows what he's doing.

Random Things

Sorry there hasn't been a post in a while. Although I haven't had much time to draw, here's some links for your enjoyment:
Kyle Baker Interview - one of my favorite comic artists today
The Decemberists - their new album is truly epic (download samples from killrockstars.com)
Spoon - their new album is truly incredible (download samples from their mp3 page)
Monsieur Z - mod-retro designer and illustrator

Another version of the poster

Another BIG SHOW

Another BIG SHOW, another poster. Ben-Hur inspired, this one is a lot larger, so this is all I could fit with a scan.

Disneyland Inspiration

In honor of my eminent return to California, here's some really great Disneyland Attraction Posters. As one person noted, these beautiful paintings kinda make you wish Photoshop was never invented. (Hell, I wish I had Photoshop!)

Random Guy makes it all Better

Haven't updated in a while, there hasn't been much time to draw now that the semester is winding down and the work is picking up. Here's a quick sketch of a random guy!
